Chicka Chicka Boom Boom! This unit is a great way to start the school year. The 97 page download is full of learning!The following is what is included by page number.

6-11:Where's the Coconut? Cut out the coconut trees and the coconut. Place the coconut trees on the table and hide coconut under one of the trees. Have your students guess which coconut tree the coconut is hidden under. This is a great activity for helping your students identify letters.

12-16:Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Letter Match File Folder Game- Children match the lowercase letter cards to the uppercase letters on each mat.

17-27:What letter comes next?  This game will help them reinforce the "order" of the alphabet. Your students must fill in the missing blanks with the correct letter. It is helpful to add Velcro to keep the missing letters in place. 
This center is easy to make self checking by placing a sticker on the back with the correct answer. 

28-31:Alphabet and Vowels Graphing- The children will roll the die (included) and record the results on the graph. This game is different every time you play!

32-44:Letter Matching Memory Game- There are a number of activities you can do with these cards: 
*Literacy Center Matching Activity
*Concentration/Memory Game
*Arrange in ABC order
*What letter comes next/before/between (ABC order)

45-55: Beginning Sounds Short Vowels Mats- Letter tiles promote alphabetic awareness, letter matching, and phonemic awareness. This activity includes 2 pages for each of the short vowels {a, e, i, o, u}, picture cards, and letter tiles Your students can use magnetic letters, letter tiles, or the included printable letter squares to find the beginning sound. 

56-57: Short Vowels Worksheets

58-66: Capital and Lowercase Letter Matching Game- This game can be used as a clothespin clip activity or with a dry erase marker. 

67-80: I Have , Who Has *Alphabet Edition- A version of the classic I Have, Who Has game, this is sure to get your little ones more fluent with letter and sound recognition! There is a capital version as well as a lower case version in random order. 

81-97: Alphabet Bingo: A fun way to reinforce the alphabet. Includes calling cards, playing cards and coconut counters. Students use Cocoa Puffs or coconut counters to try to be the first one to cover all the letters on their bingo card. First one to cover all the letters and say "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!" wins the game!
I suggest printing out these cards on heavier card stock or photo paper. For extra durability you can laminate them.
