Kids love learning about animals and what better place than the Zoo? This is my biggest pack to date! 179 pages!! WHEW! I got on a roll and couldn’t contain myself! ;)
There are SEVEN books for Emergent Readers. Six of these fun books are my EZ-2 Assemble books. This means you can print them out, copy them, fold and staple. No need to rotate pages or waste papers. The books include working with color words, number words, positional words and zoo animal names.
I’ve included several games that help support students as they learn to read basic sight words, work with syllables, ABC Order, CVC words, and CCVC words as well as writing templates.
There are also math games to support learning about tally marks, probability, ordering by size, data collection, more or less, missing numbers, skip counting, graphing and addition.
I have provided Word Banks, pocket chart words, number/numeral cards to help provide support as young students learn. There are Venn-diagrams included as well as charts to help scaffold young writers.
Everything in this packet is intended to be introduced/modeled and then set up in a center or station for independent work.
Your students will love the activities and you’ll love the ease with which these can be put to use in the classroom!
