Here's a great writing activity that's a win/win for everyone. Run these sheets off back to back. Have each child address the envelope side to himself/ herself. Shuffle up the papers, and have the children take one randomly, then write a letter to the person whose name is on their paper. The children are practicing their letter writing skills, and it's an easy lesson for the teacher. The children get feedback on their writing when the receiver reads the letter! This is a great writing activity for substitutes!
