The activities in this book compliment the activities in our Grab a Bag &Go Homework Books, #1 and #2. However, rather than using them as homework packets, these are to be used inside the classroom.
The instructions are meant for an aide or for a parent helper. The directions give the “helper” the needed information to run a center or small group for the teacher, allowing (you) the teacher time to work with other students. The activities can be housed in Ziploc bags, and are ready to be used in small groups or centers, and are perfect for intervention and or remediation.
Grab a Bag & Go! is my shop. My name is Gay Evans. I am a mom, a wife, a Kindergarten teacher, and most importantly grandma to 9 practically perfect grandkids. I have taught Kindergarten for 22 years. I guess I am what some may call old school. No matter how wonderful the newest series might be, I still find a way to incorporate hands on, developmentally appropriate, brain compatible, (Thanks to Dr. Pat Wolfe for the use of her term) concrete activities. You may have guessed, I have lots of these types of activities in my classroom, but I wanted to find a way to give my students additional practice at home. Homework activities that would yes, meet state standards, reinforce and extend what we were doing in class, meet my “hands on developmentally appropriate” requirements, but most importantly homework that is fun! . . . .
