This packet includes 60 original fluency passages (fiction, nonfiction, poems, and songs). Each passage includes Power Words (vocabulary), comprehension and phonics work along with a home connection component. Each passage also includes a seperate page of language arts skills. These passages are fantastic to supplement any reading program. They can be used in a whole group setting or for independent work. I use them in a whole group setting in my 1st grade classroom, but I have heard a lot of success from Kindergarten teachers using them with higher students and 2nd and 3rd grade teachers using them with their lower reading groups.
The weekly themes included in this packet are, Back to School, Apples, Family, Jungle, Pumpkins, Pirates, Spooky Animals, Halloween, Fairy Tales, Transportation, Native Americans, Thanksgiving, and Veteran's Day.
