This packet includes step-by-step instructions for teaching the Dolch 220 sight words using a multi-sensory approach. The term "multi-sensory" means using the different senses simultaneously. Using this approach to teaching sight words increases the likelihood that the students will remember the words. It is particularly helpful for teaching struggling readers. Multi-sensory templates and flashcards for all words are included. Since these are hands on activities, you will need to gather materials such as Play-Doh prior to teaching. A list of suggested materials, as well as directions for using the materials within the lesson, are provided.
