This is a wonderful, interactive activity where students practice using Formal Commands to give advice. Teachers may cut up the 5 different scenarios and post them around the classroom. Students go around the room and read the different scenarios. Then they will write advice to resolve problems in each scenario using Formal Command sentences on their answer sheet. Students may work individually or in pairs. This activity is best used as a Guided or Independent Practice Activity after students have already learned how to conjugate and use Formal Commands. This activity may be modified so that it is also used in an English Language classroom. It is a great activity for students to work on problem solving skills using critical thinking.
