Add Numbers up through 20
Subtract Numbers through 10
Want manipulatives for this game, too?
Just give your students a small paper dessert plate and some sunflower seeds w/ the shell on!
To assemble - head to Home Depot and buy 20 mini terra cotta pots (approx. 3" pots). They are just under 1.00 each. Fill pots with rice or beans.
*For a less expensive version, print 10 copies of page 16 on carstock & laminate, and cut page in 1/2 to separate the cards/work mats and create individual work mats.
Place a velcro dot in the middle of each pot
Print a copy of all the flowers on carstock and laminate, then cut out
Hot glue each flower on a popcicle stick
*If you are using the printed clay pots (page 17), you will not glue the flowers on a popcicle stick, but rather just put a piece of velcro on the back of the flowers, and on the top of the printed cards on page 17.
Print a copy of pages 15 and 16 on cardstock and laminate, then cut out each square
Place a velcro dot (opposite the kind that was placed on the clay pot) on each square. These squares will be the ones placed on the pot depending on how you want to play the game.
Students will place a flower in each pot to solve the equation. The flower on a popcicle stick will easily stand in the pot when it is placed in the pot with rice/beans as a filler!
Page 12 is the recording form for student work ; Copy double sided!
