You will need 1-2 dice - and the game can be differentiated 2 ways (in addition to using differentiated grid mats)
1. Roll one die, count the dots, and place that many corresponding counters on the grid.
First person to fill up the grid wins/game is complete.
2. Roll 2 dice, count the dots on each (add them up) and place that many correspinding counters
on the grid. First person to fill up the grid wins/game is complete.
Students should know that they can clear their grids and play again if time allows.
Counters: shelled corn (like deer feed) is fun!, little pom pom chicks found at dollar store, pom poms, glass stones….just about anything!
