This is a multi-day activity. There is a 3-T chart to record ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle with your students. You can blow this up on a poster-maker (if your school is lucky to have this luxury item) or you can display it on a document camera, Smart Board, or transparency.
Next, there is a writing activity (enough for four main ideas if desired). Students apply what they learn about reducing, reusing, and recycling to write an essay by generating main ideas and details through words and pictures.
Also, there are a few graphics I added at the end that you can use with your imagination.
