Good readers monitor their understanding of a text. Students can learn to self-monitor their reading using this great research-based strategy from Jim Wright! Guide students through the Power Point presentation (sold separately) and model the strategy using Click/Clunk cards. Students will become aware of their word, phrase, and sentence "clunks" (decoding or comprehension) and learn how to fix them up!
Materials were created to support Jim Wright's “Click & Clunk” strategy idea from Intervention Central (www.interventioncentral.org). These materials were modified for readers of all levels to use as a self-checking strategy for their understanding.
**Instructional Power Point Presentation also available in my shop!

Looking for fresh, innovative ideas for your classroom? All products are literacy-focused and target students at the elementary level (mostly grades 2-5, since that is the population I work with!). Most of the products can be adapted to meet the needs of early primary and middle school (even high school!) and I would be happy to tweak products to fit the population you work with ! Just let me know!
