Here is a partner activity that students can work on together. Product includes 16 problems. Copy and laminate the “problem sheet”. You could also do this with the “answer recording sheet” and have students write on it with dry-erase markers. Be sure to make the answer recording sheet a 2-sided copy. This will allow students to work all of their problems on one paper. Being able to use this more than once will help limit your consumption of paper. Great for an exit activity.
Give each group one problem sheet and two answer recording sheets (one for each group member). Have one member work the problems in the first column and the other member work the problems in the second column. Students will start solving their problems on their individual answer recording sheet. When both students are finished with their problems, have them trade sheets and check their partner’s work.
Corresponds to the Common Core Standard A.CED.1: Create equations…in one variable and use them to solve problems. Include equations arising from linear…functions.
