Doing an animal research project? This easy to fold book is a super easy way for students to record their research and create a book at the same time. Students will look at a variety of characteristics of their chosen animal, including where it lives, how it gets around, and the number of eyes and legs.
This book also coordinates with my Animal Characteristics Sorts.

I teach first grade at an American School in Casablanca, Morocco. Previously, I taught all grade levels in the computer lab at a Title I school in Georgia. I have also taught 3rd grade for 4 years.
I student-taught in 3rd grade and Kindergartden. I taught in a low-income school where my students need to look at every problem from 12 different angles. Now I teach in a classroom where almost every student is an English Language Learner. Although it is challenging, it is also incredibly rewarding.
My Teaching Style:
I am a very hands on teacher, who teaches through brain based learning strategies. I also use arts based learning strategies and SIOP (Sheltered Instruction - for ESOL learners) daily in my classroom.

Through inservices provided by my county, I am also SIOP (Sheltered Instructional Observation Protocol) trained, and have recieved my certification in ESOL.
