Use this constellation activity to integrate language arts with science & astronomy. After learning about the sun, moon, and stars, students create their own constellations using tin foil "stars." (Roll a tiny piece of foil into a ball and glue onto the picture box to create a cluster or constellation!)
After students create their own constellation, they will write a short response and explain how their constellation became a part of the sky. Great for first and second grade scientists and writers! Included in my preview pictures is a sample of a student's completed work.
I hope you enjoy! Happy Learning,
Miss DeCarbo :)
