Product Description

Students work with basic geometric shapes to learn the basic parts of a rocket as well as use their cognitive skills to figure out  a tangram puzzle.

Two options are given for different ability levels.

Meets Common Core Standards Grades K-2! 

Blast off for a space adventure to teach all subject areas across the Solar System curriculum !  Math, Language Arts, Writing, Social Studies, Art, and of course Science, to name a few. 

All lessons are hands-on, space based and are aligned to the COMMON CORE STATE STANDARDS and the NEXT GENERATION SCIENCE STANDARDS (NGSS)*. This Space Girl is a former science teacher with 15 years of curriculum writing experience in the space community.  My amazing carreer path led me to one of NASA's official visitor centers where I ran and developed space camps for kids (and teachers too!)  I then got to teach astronauts how to live and work on the International Space Station at NASA.  Two amazing little girls later, and still following my passion for the space program, I'm still writing curriculum for museums, local school districts and now you!  

My hope is that I can help you to inspire your students....I truly believe that inside your classroom you have NASA's next generation of engineers, scientists and astronauts!
