About this Shop
Product Description
A word wall is a collection of mini word posters that you put on display e.g. on your classroom wall, so that your students get a daily reminder of the spelling of each word. This color word wall not only shows the spelling in either American spelling or British English spelling, but it also is color coded so that your students can immediately connect the color names to the color that they represent. Also, each word card has a picture of a color coded everyday object. This would encourage them to see that all objects around us have one of these colors.
Color Matching Activity:
Attach double sided tape to the back of each color card and let your students label items around the room by sticking each card to an object of a matching color! If some students cannot read as yet, it’s OK; he/she can still do this activity because they are labeling things by color.
Instructions:
Just print on card stock paper and cut out the color cards. OR
To make them more durable, after printing (on regular white paper), laminate each page, then cut out the cards.
Remember, only print on white paper so that the true colors seen here will show.

Welcome to Nyla’s Crafty Teaching!
I to teach using hands-on manipulatives, so I’m always creating stuff for my students. I’m a bit of a craftster as well. I started creating the resources I use in the classroom within the first year that I started teaching, back then, I had a Grade 1 class. Since then I have taught at all of the other grade levels in the primary school system. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education and three young ones to keep me busy at home.
Making centers is now my hobby. I'm addicted and my students couldn't be happier! Teaching allows be to get wild and creative with my ideas. And I'm really happy to do any thing that allows me to be creative. It feels 'right', like its what I was born to do! Sometimes I get so caught up in what I'm doing that I completely loose track of time! So I guess I need to keep a timer on me! My students don't mind though, sometims we cut into the recess time or lunch time. And I always appreciate their help with the gluing and sticking.
I created my blog recently, Nyla's Crafty Teaching, to share my classroom with the world. I like to blog about my teaching, my class and new ideas that I think are workable for any teacher. I've got lots of great freebies there too! Here's a little video about my Blog...
