These games are great for 3 reasons: 1) Students can practice sight word recognition. 2) During the game, students will have to read several sentences more than once, which increases fluency. AND 3) They can practice addition at the same time! 

This product has 15 pages of sight word sentences with 10 sentences per page. One set is in black & white and another set is in color so it can be laminated for classroom use (for a total of 30 pages). Over 200 Dolch sight words are included! This game would make a great addition to your literacy or math center. It can also be sent home for extra practice or divide the class into pairs and play it as a group. You can use a set of dice or use one die and a number cube to practice "counting on."

This game addresses the following Common Core Standards in Language Arts & Math for Kindergarten to Third Grade:

RF.1.3.Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words. Decode regularly spelled one-syllable words. Recognize and read grade- appropriate irregularly spelled words.
RF.1.4.Read with sufficient accuracy and fluency to support comprehension. Read grade-level text with purpose and understanding. Use context to confirm or self- correct word recognition and understanding, rereading as necessary.
1.OA.6. Add and subtract within 20, demonstrating fluency for addition and subtraction within 10.
2.OA.2. Fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental strategies.2 By end of Grade 2, know from memory all sums of two one-digit numbers.
