This 97-page Word Word Pack covers CVC words, sight words, simple sentences, blends & digraphs. Some of the pages are in color to be laminated for classroom use (see below). Most of the pages are not only for practice at school, but they are to be cut into strips, stapled together as a mini book and read again at home!
Students can make word books by cutting, gluing, reading and writing words from the following 20 word families:
-at, -ap, -an, -ad, -et, -en, -eg, -ed, -it, -ig, -in, -ip, -og, -ot, -op, -ob, -ub, -ug, -ut and –un.
More word books can be made by cutting, gluing, reading and writing words with the following 18 blends and digraphs:
sh, th, fl, cl, dr, pl, sk, sp, st, tr, kn, ch, wh, br, cr, fr, sl and ng.
Students can also make 2 types of word books with sight words: Books with only sight words to read and write, and books with simple sentences composed of sight words and CVC words. The following sight words are covered:
I, a, in, is, at, and, the, not, to, big, can, see, go, for, you, run, me, down, help, play, my, said, blue, red, up, one, two, three, we, little, make, find, come, away, funny, yellow, do, has, like & did
A set of 37 similar pages with color graphics are also included. They can be laminated and used with dry erase markers. These sheets also cover all 20 word families, 18 blends & digraphs, and 40 sight words.

• RF.K.2. Demonstrate understanding of spoken words, syllables, and sounds (phonemes).
? Recognize and produce rhyming words.
? Blend and segment onsets and rimes of single-syllable spoken words.

Distinguish long from short vowel sounds in spoken single-syllable words.
Orally produce single-syllable words by blending sounds (phonemes), including consonant blends.
Isolate and pronounce initial, medial vowel, and final sounds (phonemes) in spoken single-syllable words.
RF.1.3. Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words.
Know the spelling-sound correspondences for common consonant digraphs (two letters that represent one sound).
L.1.2. Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English capitalization, punctuation, and spelling when writing.
Use end punctuation for sentences.
