5th Grade Math Vocabulary Resources contains two resources to promote student independence, develop math vocabulary, and support reading and writing in mathematics. The first resource is a template for a student math vocabulary book which contains over 140 essential math words for 5th Grade. Included in the book are a page of math sentence starters, a multiplication/division grid, and space on each page for students to write in definitions in their own words. Print and fold a copy for each student in your class (7 double-sided pages) and watch their math writing skills improve.

Also included in the file is a set of 138 Math Vocabulary Cards for your Math Word Wall. Each card contains a key term in large font with a visual or example (3 cards per page). Vocabulary in both resources is aligned with the 5th grade Common Core State Standards.
