This United States Civil War PowerPoint Game Activity is a fun way to have your students review facts they have learned about the Civil War. The categories are: famous people (Lincoln, Davis, Grant, Lee, Jackson), famous battles (Gettysburg, Shiloh, Bull Run...), famous documents and speeches (Emancipation Proclamation, amendments, Gettysburg Address...), Vocabulary (secede, rebel, yankee...), and famous locations (Atlanta, Washington D.C., Richmond...). It also includes a "daily double" somewhere in the game! It is easy to use in the classroom once you start the PowerPoint. Students pick the category and the money amount, and then the teacher clicks the money amount on the board. The problem will come up. Once the student answers, you click the screen to reveal the correct answer. On the correct answer screen there is a home button on the bottom right that will return you to the game board. It will then keep track of which questions the students already answered by changing that one to a different color on the game board! This is a fun way to review the Civil War.
