Hi! I am Cecelia. I have taught for 17 years in 5 districts in New York, Colorado and New Jersey. I am in my 7th year working in the Cherry Creek School District. I have taught kindergarten, first grade and second grade as well as special education and literacy specialist.
I am always creating new lessons to teach as I get bored too easily. This far in my career I usually update curriculum and change them based on how the children did. Currently, I am working on aligning everything to Common Core standards and you will find that most of my items are directly correlated to them.
Personally, I have been married for 17 years to Tom, my husband. He and I have two beautiful children, ages 12 and 10. Our ten year old is autistic and provides lots of challenges and teaches me a ton. Actually, both of my children teach me something new everyday and I believe it makes me a better teacher. The reason why I started selling my lessons is to raise money for my son's therapies. In Colorado, funding is extremely limited and restricted and the things we need the most (speech and behavior therapy) are covered very poorly.
Thank you so much for looking at my shop! I appreciate you.
