Welcome to Froggie Went a Teachin' where you will find "toads" of teachin' printables for your classroom. Literacy and Math centers, games, and teaching resources in my shop reinforce the Common Core Standards and skills and State Standards being taught in your classroom on a daily basis.
I am presently a First Grade teacher in North Charleston, South Carolina. I have taught for 34 years. Thirty three of them have been spent at my present school. I have taught First Grade, Second Grade, and Third Grade during my teaching career. I taught one year in my home state of West Virginia after graduating from Fairmont State College in Fairmont, West Virginia in 1974. I have been designing and creating primary printable educational games for over 5 years now. I absolutley love creating games and spend all of my free time doing it.
I have always believed that there is a way to learn without worksheets being in the hands of students all day long. Providing meaningful hands-on learning experiences on a daily basis is so very important in helping children master the skills being taught in the classroom. Everytime I sit down to design and create a game I try my very best to make it a meaningful activity that will keep the children engaged in learning the skill that is being reinforced.
I look forward to being a part of the Teacher Notebook community and working with you to provide you with resources for your classroom that will make it a little bit easier for you in teaching the children essential skills in ELA and Math. I hope you will hop on by my shop and check out what I have to offer. I am sure you can find something that will be most beneficial to you and your students. My products have been kid-tested in my own classroom and it has been such a joy to see my students benefit from what I have created. They "toad"ally love what I create for them! I'm sure you and your children will too. Hop on by real soon to Froggie Went a Teachin'.
