This reading bingo game makes reading all sorts of books FUN! If your students tend to read the same sorts of books over and over... then this is the activity for them!
Kids read from the different categories to make a BINGO...In the meantime, they are reading a variety of books!
Each time the student earns a BINGO, they receive a punch on their reading bookmark. These bookmarks are great to use as a reward system. They have 25 numbered apples on them...5 rows of 5...I use a hole puncher and punch a hole for each BINGO. I do, however, encourage the children to get several BINGOs before handing in the BINGO card. Each time the student gets 5 punches,(1 row) they get a small prize from my prize drawer. When they fill the entire card, they get a BIG prize. :)
Check out my other items and tell your friends about them! I'd love for you to check out my blog as well!
I absolutely love teaching...I also LOVE creating items to use with my little kiddos so I can keep learning FUN! All of the items I sell on Teacher's Notebook are items I have used in my own classrooms. Because I've taught K-3, I have a wide range of materials to offer. I have been teaching for 25 years. I am lucky to be able to teach with my best friend, as well...the only thing that would make it better, is if our principal would let us knock out one of the walls! She is also the one who encouraged me to sell the items I use in my classroom. My Teaching Style I am a very hands on and creative teacher who hates to have paper everywhere! I guess that is why I keep working to make items that can be used year after year. I teach with the Daily 5 & CAFE method and do lots of writing with my kiddos. We really like to talk, draw, and write... The kids LOVE to hear stories about my life...they especially like to hear about the dirt hill! I also teach 3rd grade math to our 2nd graders...these kids never cease to amaze me!
