Idioms can be tricky for young learners and problematic for ELL students. Helping your students understand idioms will increase their vocabularies and enrich their writing. Through class discussions introduce your students to the 13 hat idioms. Then ask them to illustrate and complete the Hat Idioms Booklet. Cut the booklet pages in half before binding them together.
