Hinkity Pinkities and their cousins, Hink Pinks and Hinky Pinkies, have long been staples in gifted education with good reason. These riddles with rhyming answers help students learn to interpret data, make inferences, draw conclusions, and analyze new information. All the while, they are working with vocabulary, synonyms, syllables, definitions, parts of speech, and rimes. What could be better than having fun while working with Bloom's Taxonomy?

Hinkity Pinkities are riddles wherein the clues lead you to a 2 word answer. Each answer word must have 3 syllables and the 2 words must rhyme. For example:

         Hinkity Pinkity clue: recall the 9th month
         Hinkity Pinkity clue: remember September 

Now, finally, Hinkity Pinkities are in a form that makes using them virtually effortless. In this packet you will find 36 cards with Hinkity Pinkity clues and an answer key. These cards are ready to be reproduced on card stock (pink, of course) and laminated. Then cut them apart and use them in a literacy center, or as a warm-up activity, or an anchor activity. They even work as a sponge activity.
