This frienldy letter gives students the opportunity to practice identifying the parts of a friendly letter. It also provides an option to extend the concept of the friendly letter by giving students the opportunity to write the incorrect cards correctly. Directions: Review the parts of a friendly letter. Then, have students cut apart the cards and sort them into the correct category of a friendly letter and place it into the “correct” or “incorrect” way of writing that part of a friendly letter. If time, students could even write out the corrections for each incorrect card. You may want to run this page double sided.
