Lots of fun activities with Mexican flair! Perfect for little learners to help reinforce math and language skills, while introducing them to very basic Spanish vocabulary/concepts. TONS of 10 frame activities! Includes patterns to make an adorable glyph craftivity of a boy or girl. Most activities are available in color AND black and white. I am always happy to make something in black and white for you, if it is not already available.
Spanish Word Wall: Basic colors, shapes, and numbers 1-10 in Spanish.
Color Sort: Run sombrero pattern off on colored cardstock or construction paper of your choice. Provide matching pom poms for your little learners to sort. Add a fine motor challenge by using tongs, tweezers, or clothespins, to pick up the pom poms.
Colors of Cinco de Mayo Emergent Readers: Depending on the age and skill level of your learners, choose whether you want to print the reader with color words already in color (or print the black and white version and underline the color word with corresponding marker). For the little ones just learning to read color words, but still needing cues, I have included a “cheat sheet” of color words to use. There is also a version with color words in Spanish.
I have/Who has Shapes Game: This game has enough cards for up to 10 players. If you choose to use this with more students, run off the blank pages and put two shapes on the cards. If you prefer, use the blank cards to work on different skills.
Sombrero Size Sort: Choose either black and white or color sombreros. Students put the sombreros in order from smallest to biggest or vise-a-versa.
Maraca Measuring: Use non-standard items to measure along the black lines of the maracas. Compare biggest, smallest, etc.
Fiesta Fun Ordinal Numbers: There are two versions to choose from.
Pepper Patterns: There are five patterning pages to depend on, depending on skill level and whether you prefer to print colored or black and white pages.
I have/Who has 10 Frames Games: Choose if you want to go from 1 to 10 or 1 to 20 with 10 frames. Ready to go, just print, laminate and cut apart cards.
10 Frames Memory Game: Match 10 frames and corresponding numbers from 1 to 20. If your learners are only able to go to 10, stop there! You choose how high you want to go.
Niños de Sarape Glyph: Use the patterns and follow the directions to create a glyph craftivity individual to each student. You can add a writing component, as well.
Where is the Sombrero? Cut out sombreros provided and glue them on pages of book according to prepositional directions.
