Flat Stanley is coming to a town near you! With this mini-unit you are set up with all the tools for a mailing project, kite project, reading responses, writing craftivities, a math center and a literacy center!
Here's what you will get:
p.3-4 Parent letter and letter for loved one. These are used for our mailing project. As our fun packages make their way back in the mail we begin to share what fun items we receive from the state/country and we also “pin” their location on a map. This is a great project for discussing not only how mailing packages works but to teach your kiddos some more about maps!!
P. 5 Flat Stanley template. You will need to print several of these per child depending on how many family/friends they are going to mail to.
P.6-8 Vocabulary word cards. I use these as we read. I then place them in my writing station and the kiddos can use them in their writing. You can also have them record each new word into their vocabulary notebooks!
P. 9 Flat Stanley word search
P. 10-11 Teach and student poem/song
P. 12-14 How much will it cost to mail me activity and writing response sheets

I am a fifth year, 20-something year old teacher in the sunshine state. I've spent two years in kindergarten, 2 years in first grade, and am on my way back down to the sweet kiddos in kindergarten! I live with my wonderful husband of five years and our two precious pup-kids!! I finished my master's degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy last year and am so excited about getting this shop up and running!
