Do your students need more practice learning to identify solid shapes? I know my students do, and it is so difficult to find kindergarten-level materials for this topic. Hopefully, this collection of materials will help!!
This packet includes practice pages, emergent reader little books, shared reading texts, flash cards, student awards, and classroom posters.
Practice pages include matching objects to their solid shape, sorting objects based on shape, graphing solid shapes, and identifying solid shapes by coloring according to a code.
There are also two little books; the first one is "I See Solid Shapes". Each page follows the predictable pattern "I see a (color word) (solid shape). The second one focuses on objects and what solid shape they are. For example, one page says the following: "Look at the can of peas. It is a cylinder."
There are full-color, full-page versions of both stories. These can be printed or projected for whole group shared reading.
There are several other materials included, such as student flash cards, student awards, and classroom posters. Please check out the preview for more details.
Thanks for looking and happy teaching!!
Thanks for stopping by my shop!! I have been teaching kindergarten for 10 years. I love creating new materials that will get students excited about learning!! I use a lot of PowerPoints, especially for shared reading activities.
I will be adding lots of ready-to-print, ready-to-use activities that are fun, engaging, and aligned with standards. These materials will help your students leave kindergarten saying, "Everything I Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten (and I had fun doing it)!!"
