I am so excited to be able to share this reading resource with you! These simple ideas and "Reading with a Purpose" bookmarks have radically changed my reading instruction this year!!! Do you want your students to read more effectively during silent or independent reading? Do you want to improve their understanding of the types and kinds of sentences, parts of speech, and subjects and predicates? Do your reading groups and reading partners need a little direction and guidance or help with LA concepts? Then this is the perfect resource for you!
Within this reading resource pack, you will find some great tips, tricks, reading bookmarks/prompts, and materials that I use in my own classroom. Opportunities for independent reading are critical for academic growth, and these resources are designed to help your students become better metacognitive readers--readers who think about their thinking and think about their reading! Also, use as directed notes or mini-lessons during Reader's or Writer's Workshop. Hope you enjoy Volume 2! Hi! I am currently a teacher of gifted and talented students at a wonderful elementary school here in the Peach State! I absolutely love teaching, and I have found that my current position has pushed me to be more creative in differentiated curriculum development than ever before. I strive to offer meaningful enrichment resources to teachers for elementary students of all backgrounds and ages!
I also hold degrees in Early Childhood and Special Ed, as well as have both my reading and gifted endorsements. For these reasons, you will find a diverse mix of resources in my store.
Because we love to stay busy and use our gifts in service to others, my husband and I work in children's and family ministry at our local church, so resources for homeschool families, those in children's ministry, and young parents are available as well. Thanks so much for stopping by!
