With the introduction and implementation of the CCSS, writing will receive an intensity of instructional focus like never before. With added emphasis placed on informational, argumentative, and narrative writing, students will be expected to write clearly and concisely across all areas of the curriculum.
These 75 writing titles and prompts for boys are excellent for use as weekly journal times, self-selected writings, writing homework, summer journals, and/or to encourage your young authors to dive fearlessly into writing. The topics included here will help your young male writers plunge in with gusto and creativity, leaving their dread and trepidation about writing behind.
Providing meaningful writing opportunities with constructive help from the teacher is critical to students' success! I love the important point made in Pathways to the Common Core, "Whether our students become scientists, engineers, activists or analysts, they'll need to be able to write well to do well." I hope you and your students enjoy! Shannon

Hi! I am currently a teacher of gifted and talented students at a wonderful elementary school here in the Peach State! I absolutely love teaching, and I have found that my current position has pushed me to be more creative in differentiated curriculum development than ever before. I strive to offer meaningful enrichment resources to teachers for elementary students of all backgrounds and ages!
I also hold degrees in Early Childhood and Special Ed, as well as have both my reading and gifted endorsements. For these reasons, you will find a diverse mix of resources in my store.
Because we love to stay busy and use our gifts in service to others, my husband and I work in children's and family ministry at our local church, so resources for homeschool families, those in children's ministry, and young parents are available as well. Thanks so much for stopping by!
