Instructions: Take a card from the deck (or roll the dice,) and take that amount of money from the bank. On your next turn, you can "buy" a square, or roll/select to get more money. You can only buy one square per move, and buying a square counts as a move. You may trade in 10 pennies for a dime, or 10 dimes for a dollar whenever you like and it won't count as a turn. Whomever collects 5 squares in a row wins!
Kid tested and refined: my first and second graders will NOT STOP playing this game! They find it hard to decide whether to save up for a special space, or spend quickly so the other person does not get the advantage.
