The Teachers ChairMy name is Tracey Schumacher and I teach first and second grade in a multiage classroom. I have been teaching for 12 years. Being a multiage teacher has taught me a lot about differentiation and over the years I have created many games and activities suitable for multiaged learners. Recently, I have been re-designing everything to meet Common Core Standards. In my classroom, we love learning through plenty of hands-on activities, games and explorations. In a classroom with so many levels of learners, we run a lot of workshops combined with guided instruction in small groups. My days are fun, busy and they leave me with just enough energy to come home to my own children (and that's when part 2 of the day begins!) I am looking forward to collecting and sharing ideas here on the Teachers Notebook! - Teaching Tips
