Mariet Vermaak's ears go pop as the wooden spoon strikes the bucket over her head. She will have to get back at Ms Griesel for this cruel treatment. Corli is the grade six class captain and best friend of the tomboy. She does her best to keep Mariet out of trouble. One morning this becomes even more difficult when Mariet saves a skunk from a water pipe. The skunk has to go to school with them - with smelly results. Toe sy een oggend 'n muishond uit 'n waterpyp red, word Corli se werk nog moeiliker. Die muishond moet saamgaan skool toe, met verruikende gevolge.
