彭公，是我國清代康熙年間的清官之一，本書所輯就是他斷案的一些故事，望對讀者能有所啓發和裨益。《彭公案》以康熙年間彭朋出任三河縣令、升紹興知府、擢河南巡撫、授兵部尚書查辦不同事務爲線索，敘述李七侯、黃三太、楊香武、歐陽德等一班俠客協助他懲惡誅奸、除盜平叛的故事，結局無非是清官邀得聖寵，俠客受到獎賞。
