(The writing style of this book is unique, with Mr. Tang describing it as "a discussion of philosophy through its history". Mr. Tang is against baseless, objective conjecture and covering up the words of the ancients. One cannot only look at things from one side, otherwise there will be inapprehensible conflict. One should separate out the reasons in the argument and put them in the right place. In light of this, Mr. Tang displays all of the theories of Chinese philosophers in history and attempts to trace their origins. He also comes across values that were once extremely widespread and the possibility of a world where everything combines into one. This book uses all of the main concepts of Chinese philosophy as its thread. It can show the level of proficiency Mr. Tang has when it comes to thinking about philosophical problems.)
