However, it is now the world's largest Party with about 80 million Party members. It is the ruling party of the People's Republic of China which has profound impact on the process of modern China. How the Communist Party of China born was has become a topic of concern. The Communist Party of China was born in Shanghai. The author, taking "geographical advantage", conducted long-time detailed interviews in Shanghai, and made a special trip to Beijing and the South Lake of Jiaxing for interviews. After more than ten years of research, the author wrote this book with an objective style and innovative T-shaped structure, namely writing its cross section mainly- the dynastic history of the birth of the Communist Party of China in 1921, and writing its longitudinal section- the later destiny of the representatives of the First Conference of the CPC.
