《草原上的太阳》是一本介绍尼玛先生生平事迹的力作之一。尼玛先生仙逝之后，较全面、系统的写先生的生平事迹的著作主要有三部：一是1991年，由阿坝州教委徐长富同志写的《尼玛办学模式》；二是1997年，由先生的高足之一、藏族青年学者供秋仁青根据先生《自传》，按藏族传记体写法，用藏文写成的史料性专著《尼玛传》；第三本是1993年阿来同志写的这本《草原上的太阳》，这是一本以一个藏族青年作家特有的眼光，运用纪实文学的表现手法，全方位，多角度反映尼玛先生不平凡的生平和事迹的书。这三本书的共同点是，完全忠实于尼玛先生其人其事。而作者各自的独到见地，又互为补充，相得益彰，在揭示尼玛先生生平事迹的全面性、丰富性和深刻性方面达到了一定深度，为研究尼玛先生的思想和业绩提供了有益启示。( The Sun on the Grassland introduces the life experience of Mr. Nima. After Mr. Nima’s death, there are three books describing the life stories of him: the first one: in 1991, Xu Changfu, who was the Education Official of Aba Autonomous Prefecture, wrote the School-running Model of Mr. Nima; the second one: in 1997, Gongqiu Renqing, who is the brilliant disciple of Mr. Nima and the young scholar in Tibetan nationality, wrote the historical monograph -- Biography of Mr. Nima in Tibetan language according to Mr. Nima’s Autobiography in the writing style of Tibetan biography; the third one, in 1993, Mr. ALai wrote The Sun on the Grassland, which is the book describes the legendary life and achievements of Mr. Nima comprehensively and in multi-angle with the unique vision of a young writer in Tibetan nationality in the expression technique of documentary writing. The common feature of three books is complete loyalty to Mr. Nima himself and his life stories. However, the separate opinions of the author are unique, supplementary to each other and bringing out the best in each other. The comprehensiveness, diversity and depth in revealing Mr. Nima’s life stories have been achieved, and they provide some beneficial enlightenment to Mr. Nima’s thought and performance. )
