(Lao-Tzu and Taoism profoundly interprets the relationship between Lao-Tzu and Taoism, the formation of Lao-Tzu's thought, and the development of Taoist culture from temple to folk in various aspects. In the early Han Dynasty, the rulers used Huang-Lao thought to govern the country and opened the golden age of Lao-Tzu's philosophy. Taoism left the court to the folk when Emperor of Han Dynasty proclaimed "original Confucianism", and it was again carried forward through metaphysical study in Wei and Jin Dynasties... Lao-Tzu, Chuang-Tzu and other Taoist figures created a profound philosophy with their extraordinary wisdom, which was no less philosophical than any of other ancient peoples. Taoism promotes natural law, natural inaction and harmonious coexistence between man and nature, characterized by all-embracing and all-encompassing. Although Taoism didn't have so many disciples like Confucianism and Mohism, and its status was not as noble as that of Confucianism, but with the development of history, Taoism, with its unique universe, society and life comprehend, appeared an eternal value and vitality in philosophical thought. After Buddhism was introduced into China, it was influenced by Taoism as well, with Zen inspired by Chuang-Tzu in many aspects.)
