Anthony Crisci was a former Greenwich Village deli owner who became the largest heroin distributor in the Westchester County area of New York. A soldier in the Bonanno family, he worked directly for capo Nick Alfano. The Bonanno syndicate was disrupted by the October 1964 kidnapping of Joseph Bonanno Sr. The family eventually turned to Paul Sciacca for leadership. Crisci was extensively profiled in a February 1969 article published in the Tarrytown, New York Daily News.
