Really the book is the story collection of human sufferings and grieves. It deals with different forms of sorrow, despair, betrayals, disloyalties and problems now prevalent in our social and family lives. Even a thousandth part of this hypothetical water droplet of grief may cause havoc as illustrated in the story, "Sharnarthi" and "Bhagwan ki berukhi". The story "Dadi ka swarg" shows how a soul strives to reach the entity (God), though sacrificing physical life is not essentially a pre-condition for the same. The author advocates the idea of adopting only humanly useful elements of physical and spiritual philosophies to build a new but ideal human society.
