While this book is a fictionalized account of first-century Christianity and its persecution in the city of Rome, it does describe the factual persecution which early Christians experienced. The story is told through fictional characters consigned to live out their lives in the catacombs beneath the city of Rome. Through this story, the listener will understand the history of the early church and the severe persecution that followers of Jesus Christ experienced.
