Carey, of Portland, Oregon, is an adjunct professor of pastoral counseling at Mount Angel Graduate School of theology. He also provides pastoral counseling for ministers through the local Catholic parish in Salem, Oregon. His topic today is “Self-Efficacy and Internal Locus of Control: Psychological Tools for Integrity in Ministry.” Carey uses the term “ministry” to refer to any position of responsibility that a believer would have.
